Voice-over rates are a tricky bit of business. On the surface, you're paying for the rights to direct somebody and use their voice for your project - not unlike hiring a writer, a programmer or even an architect. Seems simple enough, right? But there's a lot of factors voice actors have to consider when determining rates: how large is the potential audience, what is the intended usage, will accepting this project potentially keep us from even auditioning for a similar project – the list of considerations goes on and on.
What I've tried to do here is provide a general guideline for what to expect when budgeting for my VO services. Bear in mind, each project is special to me and is considered on a case-by-case basis. As such, the rates may vary depending upon the actual details of your voice-over needs. If you'd like to discuss, please don't hesitate to contact me!
